7 Grand Street Park Project
Location: The park at the end of Grand Street (on Kent) in Williamsburg
Description: protest against power plant
Exhibition date: May 19, 2001

The works communicated sympathy to the site, explored repercussions of wasteful energy, alternatives, expressed cynicism as well as hope........ Each expression enhanced and made the day strong and hopefully influenced people's psyches about conserving and caring more about their environment.

Throughout the day, different walks of people came and went, children, adults, some that knew about the event, others that didn't. It was a beautiful day and it was great to have people in the park integrating with an enhanced environment through our independent expressions of protest. Let's hope that those that visited absorbed our purpose and see environmental issues in a different light........
