d'Art projects is comprised of an artist group that search out alternative sites to show art. It is a roaming multi-disciplinary group art exhibition that integrates art with movement. exhibits move swiftly, "darting" from space to space. d'Art is not limited to contained spaces, the intention is to add life to different venue (indoors or out). it is meant to be spontaneous, active, the theme of the exhibit and works within become their own dynamic action. Art pieces that have exhibited in our shows have exploded, floated up with balloons, swungfrom trees, timed mass alarm clocks, ambient sound in ivy, dj's integrated with drums, just to name a few....... We've shown in a gallery in Williamsburg, a studio space in DUMBO, a garden space in NYC, paddleball courts on the east river, pier 40 on the Hudson River, a nightclub called FUN in chinatown ........and yes, we are at it again! The web-site highlights d'Art events and shows for 2000. The project is in progress - ongoing documentation integrating new media for presentation is determined by the nature of the event. Because d'Art is site specific installations, a consistent energy is presented. This is developed by examining past, present, and future site status through intrinsic properties, elements in and around the environment, the environment's current "look and feel". The goal is to enhance a presence already existing through creative integration of stimulations, to create an environmental experience and new perspectives through dynamic processes and active exploration .
